BURO PIKET — ‘Non-Agency’ for today’s circus

BURO PIKET is an alternative distribution agency that strengthens the positioning, visibility, and circulation of circus makers and companies.
We guide, coach, and represent artists in the circus field within diverse (inter)national contexts and encourage the connection between circus and other performing arts.

Non-agency approach
Since its very beginning, BURO PIKET has been committed to transforming the traditional approach to sales and distribution as a
non-agency into an approach that is better suited to the cultural sector, which often works with subsidy systems.
Instead of simply selling or representing, we focus on customization and shared responsibility:
we work with creators to build their career path, giving them a voice and using their artistic expression as a starting point,
with a long-term strategy in mind.
We also offer support in the areas of marketing, communication, and fundraising.

Guidance from idea to completion
Our involvement begins at the earliest stages of an artistic idea and continues through to the final performances.
Together with the creators and companies, we collaborate on:

  • aligning the artistic concept and the authentic strategy
  • finding financial resources and collaboration partners
  • network development, planning, and communication
  • positioning and audience development
  • finding performance venues and tour planning

Each creator expresses their individual wishes for guidance:
from developing a multi-year plan to reinforcing their signature and connecting with the appropriate network.
